The LibertyBOSS® Amalgam Separator delivers over 99% amalgam separation and requires no maintenance for up to 3 years. There are no filter or canister changes. At the end of its service life (up to 3 years) the LibertyBOSS® should be replaced with a new one, and the old one sent in for processing. Shipping, Recycling, and the Compliance Certificate are included in the cost.

By July 14th, 2020, dental practices in the U.S. must be in compliance with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) final rule on amalgam separators (40 CFR Part 441). This rule requires either a ISO 11143:2008 certified or ANSI/ADA Standard No.108 certified amalgam separator. The LibertyBOSS® Amalgam Separator, when properly installed and changed at the end of its service life, will keep your practice in compliance.

The Liberty BOSS® Amalgam Separator is American Dental Association (ADA) tested at 99.4%, ISO 11143 certified at 99.9%, and is the only separator in the world to receive the Canadian Environmental Technology Verification (ETV) certification under license from Environment Canada for over 99% separation. It uses an ion exchange formulation that has been tested and proven to remove solid and aqueous mercury at over 99%, month after month, under real dental operatory conditions of 750 ml/minute.

The LibertyBOSS® is a completely sealed unit, so it protects you and your staff from soluble mercury, mercury vapor exposure, and cross-infection. Your office will be protected from the costly hassles and concerns of possible mercury spills, and will have a greatly minimized the risk of mercury exposure and interruption of business. A detachable self-contained unit means you get a new unit at every service life interval. This means no leaking cartridges, no messy in-house decanting, no mercury spills, no mercury vapor, and no environmental or OSHA infractions.

• Large 1 ½” fittings and flexible hose attach to the existing plumbing, always maximizing flow rate. The system is designed to never compromise the suction and to minimize any stress on the vacuum pump.
